This " Sport-production line" exhaust system is the optimum choice for this motorcycle and it works smoothly trough the whole rev range. The header pipes are made of stainless TIG - hand welded high-grade steel and are highly polished. With optimum pipe lengths and pipe diameters we achieved a recognizable power increase in the middle and top rpm. range. The maximum engine performance is increased by 2,8 kW (3,8 HP). It is much lighter than the original exhaust, the weight was reduced by as much as 4,1 kg (9.02 lbs).

A stainless steel wool/mesh layered baffle liner further ensures high performance durability.
As with all Akrapovic full systems, joints between individual components are made from CNC machined sleeves. The header inner sleeves, flanges, and header tubes are independent, meaning that the header tubes are “free-floating”, and are attached to the engine head using springs. They are not bolted in. Only the flanges are screwed in, which hold the inner header sleeves. This reduces stress on the connections due to engine vibration and allows for faster removal and installation of the header tubes in racing situations.

V.A.L.E. = Variable Axis Locking Exhaust
The V.A.L.E.™ system is a revolutionary and patented method of attaching the muffler canister to the exhaust tube without the use of springs or welding. The V.A.L.E. system allows the muffler assembly - exhaust tube and canister - to be positioned perfectly on the bike before all the mounting hardware is fully tightened. Once the canister and exhaust tube are properly aligned, the V.A.L.E. assembly locks the muffler canister to the exhaust tube assuring a perfect, leak-free fit.
